Well.... Someone's been hard at work with me here! 
And slooooowly.... It's taking shape!
Despite a few bad boards... and minor setbacks... it's really looking great! It gives so much character to the room! I'll be posting pics when it's done! Really done!! YAY!!!

Hi, I just discovered your blog and can totally relate to all your hard work. My DH and I started renovating our old house a year ago (we're very slow as we've never done anything like this before). We gutted our LR & DR to the studs and replaced the ceiling with tongue and groove. I opted to stain ours and we just love it. We've had lots of compliments on it as you will too with yours. It adds so much to a room. You'll probably find yourself glancing up and admiring it all the time.
Great job on the fireplace re-do too. It looks completely updated and fresh against the green walls.
I'll drop by again to see what else you have going on.
